I’ve been thinking about love.

I’ve been thinking about love.
Not the romantic kind.
Not love as romance.
Not love as a feeling that comes and goes.
But love as something deeper.

There is a feeling most of us carry but rarely speak about.
It’s not sadness exactly.
Just a sense that something is missing.
You probably know this feeling.
It arrives without warning.
In grief. In loss.
Sometimes just in the middle of an ordinary day.
When life is full and busy.
And yet inside of you is longing.

Longing is different from desire.
It is permanent.
Patient.
And it has always been with me.
Most of us stay busy enough to shut it out.
We tell ourselves we’ll get to it later.
But the to-do list never ends and later never comes.

Here you are. Reading this.
Which must mean later is now.
The mind only works with what it already knows.
Longing is a deeper knowing.
For something real but not visible.

Maybe you have felt this.
That moment you just knew before you knew how you knew.
A pull toward a person. A place. A truer way of living.
Trust that knowing.
Your heart has always been reaching for love.
And love is not far away.
It is here.
Quietly alive in your heart.

Love always — Janie x
